Reporting to the Director, Community Engagement, and managing a team of fundraising professionals, you will lead the development of a multi-year fundraising strategy to achieve financial targets. This hands-on role will lead an integrated and multi-channel program including direct and digital marketing appeals, regular giving, acquisition campaigns, community fundraising, matched-giving, bequests and major gifts. You will focus on building relationships and income generation from a portfolio ranging from established donors to new prospects, initiating prospect research, developing stewardship and cultivation frameworks, and building professional relationships to solicit and secure significant gifts. Funding will be directed towards MacKillop’s programs, education, research, and other impactful initiatives that make a positive impact on our community.

This role requires an innovative and best practice fundraiser with a collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, both internally and externally, to reach fundraising goals and create a thriving culture of philanthropy. You will implement innovative and engaging tactics to deepen donor engagement and increase lifetime value, manage the calendar of appeals and fundraising communications and develop deep relationships with donors. Additionally, you will monitor budgets and campaign results, generate reports and forecasts, build cases for support and manage donor engagement.

Excellent communication skills are essential to convey complex ideas, outcomes, evidence, learnings and impact, plus share compelling stories to connect hearts and minds of donors to inspire support, commitment and investment. Demonstrated experience and confidence to present sophisticated funding asks is also required. You will be a motivated, outcomes-driven and collaborative leader to develop a high-performing team and drive new levels of success across MacKillop’s integrated fundraising program. A proven track record, 7+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of systems that underpin best practice fundraising and current understanding of the philanthropic landscape is vital, as well as strong alignment to MacKillop’s values – Justice, Hope, Collaboration, Compassion and Respect. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or Commerce, CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) and proficiency in a relational CRM database (Raiser’s Edge NXT) is beneficial.

APPLY NOW if you have a proven track record of fundraising success, the ability to engage hearts and minds along the philanthropic journey, and commitment to lead MacKillop’s program into the next chapter of transformational growth.
