The role

Reporting to the Head of Donor Engagement, the Engagement Manager - Partnerships is a role designed to drive impactful engagement and support for WVA donors by strategically segmenting fundraising efforts for corporate partners, trusts and foundations. Through a range of engagement techniques including pitch decks, proposals and impact reports, the Engagement Manager works to effectively communicate WVA’s vision and achievements in ending poverty and its causes by providing a seamless and meaningful experience for supporters along their donor journeys. The position is an important member of the Private Funding Team (PFT) and alongside supporting the development of team capability and continuous learning, will contribute to a positive and vibrant team culture via a variety of forums.

About YOU

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, with a strong preference for a background in corporate fundraising and nonprofit organisations
• Strong knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising strategies to effectively attract and manage donors and sponsorships
• Proficiency in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including brand management and social media engagement
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop donor journeys and compelling content strategies across various platforms
• Strong organisational skills to manage complex details, multiple projects, and relationships simultaneously
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with development officers, communications team members, and other departments
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (marketing, communications, business or related field), Membership of the Fundraising Institute of Australia is highly regarded.
