At the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, we think big. We know the challenges facing coral reefs are too complex for one person or one solution. That's why we bring together communities, scientists, businesses and governments to raise funds, invest in innovation and deliver scalable conservation programs across Australia and the Pacific.
As our Digital Content Producer, you'll help bring this work to life by telling the stories that inspire action for one of the world's most important environmental missions. Combining creativity, editorial expertise and digital storytelling, you'll lead the Foundation's digital content strategy, creating compelling, audience-first content that showcases our science, innovation and partnerships. Through engaging video, photography and multimedia storytelling, you'll grow audiences, deepen engagement and inspire people to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
Working alongside a team of communications experts, you will identify emerging trends, conversations and opportunities to create timely, audience-first content across the Foundation’s digital channels. You will lead the Foundation’s content strategy, planning, producing, and curating video-first, photographic and multimedia content that strengthens our digital presence, grows engagement and builds the Foundation's relevance with new and existing audiences.
Beyond content creation, this role plays an important role in building the organisation’s storytelling capability and understanding of digital platforms. You will support and mentor colleagues, champion best practice in digital storytelling and multimedia production, and help lift the quality and consistency of content across the Foundation.
We're open to shaping the role around the right candidate. If you bring strong technical experience in areas such as social media, editorial content or video production - even if your expertise doesn't span every aspect of the role - we'd still love to hear from you.
First Nations people are strongly encouraged to apply. The release of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation’s first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a proud moment in our organisation’s 20-year history. We see this achievement as an honour, a responsibility, and an opportunity. Take a look at our Reflect RAP plan here.
