We are looking for a full-time Curriculum and Compliance Manager to join our leadership team based at Froebel’s Head Office in the Sydney CBD from January 2025. This role is full-time, ideally worked across 5 days (4 days and part-time negotiable for the right candidate).

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and be responsible for the holistic and ongoing implementation of Froebel pedagogy and compliant practice in the curriculum across all Froebel services,
  • Support, collaborate with and mentor our services' leadership teams,
  • Observe practice and educational program implementation, coach and mentor early childhood educators and teachers in collaboration with the Educational Leaders and across all services in Sydney and Melbourne,
  • Ensure compliant and exceeding planning and documentation processes in alignment with Froebel pedagogy and the EYLF/VEYLDF (Note: Froebel uses Story Park),
  • Oversee and support service leadership teams in ensuring day-to-day operations are compliant with national law and regulations as well as best practice guidelines,
  • Review Froebel policies and procedures in consultation with all relevant stakeholders, and maintain a consistent review cycle,
  • Oversee and assist service teams with incident recording and reporting to the regulatory authorities,
  • Support our Centre Directors with effective family grievances and complaints resolution,
  • Stay on top of the current regulatory and legislative framework that governs the early childhood education and care sector, and consistently advise service teams on relevant changes,
  • Proactively explore and engage with best and next practice research in early childhood education and care, and introduce new ideas and initiatives to the organisation,
  • Inspire ongoing critical reflection on curriculum and practice and create time and space for reimagining early childhood education,
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the educational team, especially in relation to developing leadership capabilities and skills.

Our ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Hold a early childhood degree (or qualification),
  • Have extensive experience in working in an early education and care service/the early childhood sector in roles relevant to this position,
  • Share an alignment with Froebel’s philosophy and values,
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of the early childhood sector and early childhood pedagogy, with curiosity for following recent scientific research,
  • Have specific interest in an inquiry-based approach to early learning,
  • Have an in depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including child safe standards,
  • Have a proven track record in leading, implementing and managing quality, safety and risk management measures including developing and reviewing policies,
  • Have strong organisational and project management skills with an ability to work to timelines and be outcome focused whilst managing multiple tasks with attention to detail,
  • Come with great people skills and enjoys building and fostering relationships and mentoring,
  • Be available to travel interstate on a regular basis,
  • Be across most relevant Microsoft Office products and have general tech-savviness,
  • Be a collaborative team player with a positive mindset, sunny attitude and a can-do-spirit,
  • Hold a Working with Children Check.
