Who is Fresh Markets Australia (FMA)?

Fresh Markets Australia (FMA) is a national organisation that represents each of the six Market Chambers within Australia. Each market chamber is a member organisation representing its members, the fruit and vegetable wholesalers, located within their central market. There are six central Markets Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Newcastle.

About the role

To support the growth of A Better Choice (ABC), its unaided awareness via the execution of the marketing strategy and building relationships with online communities, face-to-face interaction with customers, store owners and stakeholders who contribute to the national retail program.

Main duties

  • To deliver the day-to-day execution of A Better Choice, under the leadership of the National Program Manager;
  • Implement and maintain the program's digital channels and strategy serving as a conduit for program stakeholders ensuring its effectiveness and providing superior quality of customer service and support;
  • Daily and detailed analytical insight reviewing KPIs including conversion and engagement across web, social, EDM and CRM platforms;
  • To manage and understand all areas of paid search activity, SEO and SEM, including the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of paid digital campaigns to ensure the highest level of ROI;
  • To aid in the strategy and develop creative briefs for tactical campaign executions, identify and facilitate opportunities to leverage online activity with other business units;
  • To develop and foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, effective delivery of campaigns in a timely and brand-consistent manner;
  • Support the communications strategy via the EDM program;
  • Website maintenance (WordPress), working with creative agencies, etc.

Key selection criteria

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a communication, digital or marketing discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum two years of practical experience in the areas of digital marketing, copywriting, and advertising with demonstrable results.
  • Experience in a consumer-facing role is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of internet marketing specifically online advertising and its inter-relationship with social media, SEO, SEM and website development.
  • Experience managing and reporting on Google AdWords campaigns
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining brand standards.
  • Creative and innovative approach to tasks.
  • Experience in developing, managing, and evaluating electronic direct mail (EDM) campaigns using MailChimp.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Desirable:

  • A proven track record in a role that demanded self-motivation, service orientation, digital marketing, and business development skills.
  • An ability to develop, nurture and manage positive working relationships and deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage a range of projects and effectively prioritise competing demands.
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to problem solve and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent process-oriented organisational skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to identify actions necessary to complete tasks and organise priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work in a small team
  • Ability to collaborate on ideas and tasks across multiple teams and nationally.
