Free to Feed is at an exciting moment where it is about to launch a charming 800sqm heritage-listed art deco events venue and expand it’s catering and event services into the business and private market (client events, or private celebrations, weddings etc.) as well as continue hosting an array of creative seasonal events and classes.
We are recruiting an experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our team.
The F.O.H supervisor at Free to Feed must be a front of house professional that is passionate about people and generous hospitality.
F.O.H supervisor creates an incredible guest experience representing Free to Feed’s mission and ensures that there is an outstanding hospitality service. Because of the diversity of the role and Free to Feed’s events, the successful candidate should be comfortable in a range of settings including: setting up a grazing table, curating a wine list for the events team, managing front of house at an event, hosting a cooking class, being a cocktail bartender and or providing canape tray service.
The role would suit someone who has experience in restaurant events and functions with the ability to deliver high quality service but is also ready to share that knowledge. You will often be working alongside people seeking asylum who are thirsty for mentoring, training and experience.
This role reports to the Free to Feed Operations Manager but is also in regular contact with the Community and Experiences Manager & Catering & Events Coordinator.
You will love curating beautiful experiences for our guests and you will be an energetic and welcoming presence. You will also have a high degree of attention to detail to keep up high standards of front of house service and presentation at all events and experiences.
Note: We run a trauma informed program and our frontline staff are supported to work sensitively with people seeking asylum. You are invited to bi monthly reflective practise sessions and are considered as part of the core team. As such, you would need to be connected to our work, mission and values!
