We are looking for a Functions Team Lead who can oversee our functions and create a feeling of magic. Keeping your team focussed on excellence and the customers focussed on having a great time.

This is a Part-Time position of approximately 20 hours pw (flexible shift work hours) with the ability to grow to full-time, and/or pick up extra hours in our cafe or admin office.

Qualifications & experience

  • At least 2 + years supervisory and functions experience within the hospitality industry
  • RSA and RCG
  • Qualification in Hospitality would be an advantage in this role

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Work with the Functions Manager for rostering and prepping staff for all functions
  • Oversee the setup and pack down teams for all functions
  • Manage guests arrivals and customer experience for all functions
  • Present a confident demeanour and excellent personal presentation
  • Manage all guests communications about the function and during the function
  • Ensuring all guests enjoy a high level of service at all times
  • Oversee all front of house staff, contractors and service
  • On the job training of staff including product knowledge & steps of service
  • A high level of cleanliness and presentation, keeping all work areas both front of house and back of house clean and in working order
  • The ability to liaise with the Functions Manager to ensure a smooth and seamless function
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts and flexibility with hours
  • Ability to manage difficult customers and underperforming staff
  • Ability to write function follow-up reports and communicate well with TFH management team.
  • Have high ownership of TFH cause, values and growth
  • Attend TFH monthly team meeting and training on the second Thursday night of EVERY month. (do not apply if you cannot commit to this 2hr meeting)
  • The ability to help with event planning if/when required
