ABOUT FOUR PAWS

FOUR PAWS is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them. Our programs and campaigns focus on stray dogs and cats, companion animals, farm animals, wild animals kept in inappropriate conditions and animals affected by disasters and conflicts. In our sanctuaries, we provide a safe home for rescued big cats, bears, orangutans and elephants around the world.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Supporter Relations and Database Manager, the Supporter Relations Coordinator is responsible for providing warm, friendly, informed, and energetic interactions with FOUR PAWS Australia supporters and the general public via email, mail, phone and online. In addition, this role is responsible for accurate and effective use of the supporter relationship database (CRM), Salesforce, and for providing efficient and reliable administrative support. The role is full time, however we can accommodate part time work, for the right candidate.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE

  • Develop and maintain excellent supporter relations by giving a high level of customer service, utilising developed listening skills, attention to detail and empathy
  • Process and manage a high volume of financial transactions accurately and effectively, ensuring timely data entry, processing and receipting
  • Manually set up, manage, organise and update relevant supporter data in the database
  • Training, scheduling, and managing volunteers and make them feel valued by the organisation
  • Represent FOUR PAWS, promoting campaigns and organisational goals

ABOUT YOU

  • You have a passion for animal protection and the vision and mission of FOUR PAWS
  • You possess strong work ethic, you are flexible, adaptable and willing to learn
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including complaint handling and ability to convey and articulate complex organisational knowledge both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of customer relationship management systems, and adaptability to work across different systems. Plus high level skills in a range of software including Word and Excel.
  • Experience in telephone programs/campaigns, including receiving inbound calls and performing outbound calls
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and with a diverse range of people, including volunteers. Must also be able to work autonomously and self-manage.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to promote FOUR PAWS and ask supporters to increase their support

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • You will have experience using customer relationship databases and high-level accuracy in data entry and data verification. Specific experience with Salesforce will be highly desirable.
  • You must have previous experience with supporter / customer service phone calls, with confidence in handling objections
  • You will have strong written communication skills
  • You will show commitment and passion to help FOUR PAWS to achieve its mission to be the global animal welfare organisation for animals under human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them.
