THE ROLE:

You will research, draft and deliver outstanding written content that underpins the marketing and fundraising activities of FOUR PAWS Australia. With an appreciation for storytelling, this role will be responsible for delivering impactful and engaging written content for use across supporter journeys and updates.

The purpose of the role is to share emotive stories to translate the value and impact of FOUR PAWS’ work, the need for continued funding, and strengthening the retention of key supporters.

Our office, and this role is primarily based in Sydney but we are open to remote work for the right applicant.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE

  • Content Production - Crafting EDM, web and offline copy - using channel best practice and creative approaches to engage and motivate target audiences and achieve cut through.
  • Fundraising - Work with colleagues to develop and execute an annual fundraising content calendar, research and develop key fundraising content, translate and communicate the challenges and achievements into donor facing communications, develop reports, case studies and updates to strengthen supporter relationships.
  • Program Management and Administration - Optimise digital performance by making insight led decisions, proof and edit fundraising & communications content for brand alignment, tone and accuracy, automate and oversee supporter journeys, effectively utilise project management and content calendars to keep work on time and to budget.
  • Relationship Management and Collaboration - identify how and when to engage internal and external stakeholders, build and develop relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Active team and organisational member - Participate and contribute to strategy and ideation sessions for new content activities, support broader team activities as needed, demonstrate and model FOUR PAWS mission, values and behaviours.

  • You are proficient in written and verbal communication, with skills across multiple channels such as direct marketing, web, print, email and social
  • You can tell stories that engages a lay audience on the important role of fundraising, and translates complex animal welfare issues in a compelling way
  • You can work at pace, without sacrificing quality or accuracy
  • You’re at home self-directing, but also work well as part of a team
  • You understand digital metrics that measure impact, such as click-through and engagement rates, organic search, page rank

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated experience working to deadlines and keeping pace while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality of outputs
  • Experience working with email marketing platforms, marketing automation software, analytics dashboards, lead platforms and CMS
  • Experience using digital metrics to measure impact and optimise performance, such as CTR, conversion & engagement rates, organic search and page rank
  • Strong experience writing copy to brief, across various styles, to influence and inspire
  • Experience writing fundraising or sales asks and demonstrating need to prospective and current supporters
