The Opportunity

Foundation House is expanding. To service this growth we are seeking a true HR partner to join our team to provide expert advisory service to managers and employees in relation to all aspects across the breadth of HR functions with particular focus on ER and OH&S.

This position will work closely with the HR Manager and will significantly contribute to the productivity of the team by engaging on a number of operational and strategic priorities to deliver fit for purpose solutions and assist in the development of the HR strategy.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the leadership team to provide expert guidance on matters pertaining to their workforce, improving culture, and increasing retention.
  • Engaging in investigation and resolution of complex workplace grievances, performance management issues, mediation and dispute resolution, and other industrial relations matters.
  • Undertaking analysis and presentation of HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting the HR Manager in leading the team for the successful delivery of HR objectives.

About you

You have strong understanding of the industrial instruments and working experience as a HR Business Partner. You possess a range of skills from transactional to analytical and know how to problem solve with a continuous improvement mindset. You are data-centric in your approach, analysing trends to plan and to influence stakeholders. Finally, you are passionate about what you do!

We provide services to advance the health, wellbeing, and human rights of people of refugee backgrounds in Victoria who have experienced torture or other traumatic events in their country of origin, or while fleeing those countries. The organisation was established in 1987, has over 230 employees and is growing.
