About the organisation

Fitted for Work, is a unique national not-for-profit organisation that assists women experiencing disadvantage to get work and keep it. To date Fitted for Work has assisted tens of thousands of women through its Melbourne and Western Sydney sites and has been delivering Virtual services since 2017.

About the role

The Online Personal Outfitting position requires someone who is energetic, has customer service experience, knowledge of fashion styling, and basic HR practices.

The Online Personal Outfitter is responsible for assisting our clients to choose a wardrobe of clothing that they can mix and match for upcoming job interviews and/or starting a new job.

You will be instrumental in supporting our clients through this process. Our goal is to help our clients find a job and stay employed. Having a new wardrobe is part of the process.

We are looking to recruit a new member into our Client Services Team – they will be based at the Melbourne site in Richmond, reporting to the Client Services Co-ordinator and National Client Services Manager.

Job tasks and responsibilities

This role is key in our client’s journey, providing support in the form of capsule collections of clothing and styling advice, but also compassion, encouragement, and motivation. You’ll be required to

  • Deliver Online Outfitting appointments according to set timelines and guidelines
  • With the support of volunteers, prepare clothes and accessories for shipping to clients
  • Log and share appropriate information into our CRM Salesforce, and Sharepoint systems
  • Be an active part in the development and improvement of our team and service

The desirable applicants will demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to help clients choose a complete package of clothing to mix and match for job interviews & based on their requirements and preferences.
  • Previous experience delivering services using telephone and Video technology.
  • Understanding of barriers faced by women experiencing disadvantage who are looking for work.
  • High-level competencies in using technology to communicate.
  • Able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and personalities, using the right level of compassion and empathy via video, email and telephone.
  • Ability and willingness to be in a time-sensitive and physically active role, lift multiple 5kg parcels daily, move full rolling racks of clothing between rooms, and move quickly on feet for long periods of time.
  • A sound understanding and knowledge of fabrics, garment vocabulary, sizing variations of clothing, brands, and how cuts of clothing will sit on the body.
  • NFP experience supporting clients experiencing disadvantage, desirable.
  • Styling, Retail, HR work experience, advantages.

This is a casual role requiring the availability of a minimum of 12 hours per week each, only applicants with ongoing availability on Tuesdays and Fridays will be considered.
