HOW YOU WILL HELP:
As a key member of the Programs Team you will be responsible for the management of the end-to-end processes of FightMND’s grants and programs to ensure robust governance of all FightMND funded projects. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Infrastructure and Innovation Manager, this role will manage and work closely with the Grants Coordinator and other members of the Programs team.
The role will engage with research and government stakeholders to oversee the successful management and oversight of all FightMND funded projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and end-to-end management of FightMND grant rounds and projects
- Preparation and execution of funding agreements and variations to agreements
- Management of reporting, financial oversight and go/no-go milestone assessment for relevant grants and projects
- Preparation of status reports updates of funded projects
- Being a super-user of FightMND’s grant management software (Fluxx) and upskilling the team and relevant stakeholders
- Tracking and reviewing of FightMND’s grant processes and procedures
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with grantees and administering institutions
- Effective liaison and relationship building with all internal and external grant-related stakeholders
- Provide leadership and support to the Grants Coordinator role
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Alignment with FightMND values – Urgency, Integrity, Efficiency, Boldness and Collaboration
- A Bachelor’s degree in science, or relevant discipline with a minimum 5 years’ experience in a Grant administration role
- An expert in working with grant management software and grant workflow systems
- Experience in academic and/or not-for-profit industries
- Experience managing multi-million dollar funding contracts and project and financial reporting processes
- Experience managing a team or direct reports
- An organised and goal and timeline driven approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail
- A strong ability to learn fast, be technologically savvy and work in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative team member and supportive manager
