We continue to carry on the legacy of Professor Fred Hollows, who believed every person had the right to quality eye care, no matter where they live. Over 30 years The Foundation has grown to work in more than 25 countries throughout Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific, as well as in Australia. We have an ambitious five-year strategic plan that aims to take us even closer to realising our vision of a world in which no person is needlessly blind, or vision impaired and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to sight and good health.

The Philanthropy Specialist is accountable for the support of key strategic projects in the Pacific, with specific accountability for securing funding for priority projects.
Funding development will involve working with senior internal stakeholders to identify and qualify prospects and lead them through to become valuable supporters of The Foundation.
You will be leading the resource mobilisation for Papua New Guinea with priority and will manage this work in conjunction with The Fred Hollows Foundation New Zealand.
You will also provide key support to your manager in connecting funding opportunities across The Foundation’s broader global priorities as required.
You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills with a demonstrated ability to develop written proposals and reports for donors.
You will also have the ability to synthesise large complex pieces of information into briefing documents or proposals.
Furthermore, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of successful stakeholder engagement skills including negotiating required outcomes.
Additionally, you will have excellent organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and plan work around varied time zones. Finally, you will have excellent ability to meet and manage internal and external stakeholder requirements.
