About Forever Friends Animal Rescue (FFAR)

Established in 2011, Forever Friends Animal Rescue is a registered charity founded and run by animal-loving volunteers. We save homeless companion animals and farm animals on death-row in pounds and shelters, provide the necessary rehabilitation and find them loving forever homes. We also operate an Animal Rehabilitation Sanctuary on 100 acres in the Yarra Ranges of Victoria.

We are governed by a Board of four, a management committee of twelve, headed by President and Co-Founder Saskia Adams, and currently have in excess of 1000 active volunteers.

We are one of the largest rescue organisations in Victoria, and to date we have saved more than 11,000 lives (June 2022). In 2021 Forever Friends received the nationwide award for Outstanding Rescue Group in the Pet Insurance Australia Companion Animal Rescue Awards.
