At Feel the Magic, we support the families left behind, by providing free camps, resources and strategies to prepare their kids for living with grief.  

About the role

The purpose of the Marketing and Communications Coordinator position is to coordinate and work collaboratively with our hub of agencies to ensure the marketing activities are reviewed, approved and executed in line with our agreed strategic initiatives and annual delivery plans.

The role will also provide support to our team(s) across a wide range of projects and tasks, always working to build on our brand awareness, marketing initiatives, identify new channels, and activate communication campaigns for success.

Duties & responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Support the CEO, internal team and agencies to implement the Marketing & Communications plans.
  • Lead the approvals process for all marketing and communications materials across the team to ensure timely execution, including driving the fortnightly agency WIP meeting.
  • Work closely with content contributors for high quality and brand compliant internal and external communications for social media, internal newsletters, eDM’s and event materials.
  • Be a primary contact for our ambassadors (including Feel the Magic Community ambassadors and public ambassadors), liaising with them on marketing and promotional requirements & content.
  • Work closely with agency partners to ensure correct brand tone of voice, visual identity and messaging.
  • Coordinate and manage a central hub of approved images and videos for use across the organisation. Track, measure and support all marketing and comms with reporting.
  • Work with and coordinate alongside the agencies the review, evaluation & reporting of marketing activities.

Knowledge, skills & experience

Knowledge & qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications or related industry experience.

Skills

  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • The ability to communicate and influence others to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Able to work collaboratively, though with a sense of accountability.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with attention to detail across a range of audiences.

Experience required:

  • 3 years in a similar marketing role. Charity/not-for-profit experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Practical knowledge of sales funnels, lead generation & automations.
  • Understanding of sponsorship principals.
  • Experience working as part of a team executing a range of marketing & communication strategies concurrently.
  • Experience (high level competency) with full suite of Microsoft Office products plus solid knowledge of digital platforms and CRM systems. Additionally, open and adaptable to using new products.

  • Expected to uphold the Feel the Magic Values and Culture through conduct.
  • Understands and complies with Child Protection monitoring and reporting requirements.
  • Takes reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others.
  • Able to occasionally work on weekends/nights to attend Camps and events as required.
  • Desire to work as part of a passionate team, that are driven to create change for grieving families.
  • Working with Check (relevant per state of residency).
  • National Criminal History Check.
