  • Hours: Part-time up to 60 hours per fortnight
  • Both positions are contracted through to 30th June 2024, with a possibility of extension to June 30, 2025.

If you love working with children in an educational setting and are also passionate about teaching professionals in the community about safer relationships and sexual health, WE NEED YOU!

Our Relationships and Sexuality Education (RaSE) team is dedicated to teaching students, parents and carers about comprehensive sexuality education as a means of keeping kids safe throughout their adult lives. Sessions are mapped to the Australian Curriculum and delivered by qualified educators in state and private school settings throughout Qld.

If you are passionate about the personal safety, health and wellbeing of children and young people, no matter their ability or gender, then join our team and help us deliver RSE in schools to students, teachers, parents/carers and also to professional staff and community workers.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

We're looking for 2 Educators to join our RaSE team to deliver information, education and training in the area of reproductive and sexual health to schools and organisations in the Brisbane and Cairns areas.

You will be a passionate individual who is confident in the classroom or in front of an audience. You are supportive of inclusion and diversity in all aspects of your life.

Selection criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in education or other related field
  • Experience in an education setting and/or public health promotion role
  • Knowledge and understanding of sexuality and reproductive health issues
  • Experience in facilitating school based and/or community education and training
  • Skills in the development, delivery and evaluation of community education programs and training programs for professionals/other staff
  • Awareness of legislation in child safety or child protection sector
  • Experience working with people with disability of all ages and complex needs
  • Computer literacy essential, with abilities in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Currently hold or able to obtain a 'Working with Children’ Blue Card issued in the State of Queensland (required before commencement of employment)
  • Some travel and work outside of business hours may be required so a driver’s license is essential
  • Applicants must reside in the Greater Brisbane or Cairns regions
  • Full vaccination status (2 vaccines) against COVID-19.
