Family Access Network (FAN) is an innovative, client focused organisation based in Box Hill providing services for young people aged 15 - 25 years. We support single young people, LGBTIQ young people, pregnant/parenting young families and accompanying children who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
We are currently seeking applications for a LGBTIQ Specialist Youth Worker position. The role requires the successful applicant to provide case management to young LGBTIQ clients and assist with the planning and delivery of support groups for LGBTIQ young people who have experienced family violence and/or homelessness. You will also assist with planning and implementation of projects, programs and workshops bringing variety and diversity to the role.
The position requires a motivated individual with energy, enthusiasm, vision, and commitment to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. An experienced practitioner with minimum 2 years’ experience is preferred with relevant qualifications ideally in youth or social work. Salary is in accordance with the SCHADS Award according to experience and qualifications with additional employee benefits. The position is a fixed term 24-month contract with the possibility of extension. It is part time 0.8 – 0.9 EFT negotiable with the successful candidate.
