We are looking for an experienced person with Tertiary qualifications in communications, social science, policy development or other relevant discipline to provide communications, policy and research support to the Executive Officer.

The Organisation

Families ACT is a territory peak, not-for-profit, organisation which aims to represent the interests of children, young people and families and the continuum of services which support them, in the ACT and surrounding region.

The Role

Provide communications, policy and research support to the Executive Officer that further enhances the growth, development and profile of Families ACT. Promote Families ACT’s key messages to target audiences. Manage all communications including website, newsletters & social media.

Hours and salary

The position is part-time, 14 hours per week. This is 0.4 of the full-time-equivalent position of 35hr week. The annual salary is prorated on $85,000 p.a.

Work arrangements

Working days will be negotiated. Hours are between 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Position Location

A combination of Families ACT’s office, home and other locations as negotiated.
