Position Overview
Faith Housing Australia (FHA) is dedicated to advancing housing justice and supporting our diverse community of faith-based organisations, including not-for-profit Community Housing Providers (CHP) and Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS). As the Member Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with our members, supporting over 62,700 tenants and assisting more than 83,800 clients. In this dynamic role, you will:
- Enhance member experience: Build and maintain meaningful connections with our members and professional organisations, including planners, architects, project managers and developers while delivering effective communications to keep everyone informed and engaged.
- Coordinate impactful events: Organise and manage events that bring our community together, promoting collaboration and shared learning among our members and the broader housing sector.
- Manage data effectively: Leverage your expertise with CRM systems to keep member data current and accurate and facilitate seamless communication and engagement.
- Contribute to advocacy: Utilise your project management skills to support initiatives that capture and reflect the lived experiences of tenants, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Champion housing justice: Work closely with faith communities committed to using their land for housing justice, reinforcing the belief that housing is a fundamental human right and a cornerstone of social justice.

Key Responsibilities
1. Member Events:
- Create impactful gatherings: Plan, coordinate, and execute member events, including workshops, briefings, forums, and network gatherings that foster collaboration and shared learning.
- Collaborate for success: Work closely with FHA stakeholders and external vendors to ensure each event is a resounding success.
- Drive continuous improvement: Monitor and evaluate event outcomes to enhance future events and maximise their impact.
2. Member Relationship Management and Communications:
- Engage and inform: Develop and distribute engaging communications to members, including newsletters, EDMs, emails, and social media updates.
- Tailor for impact: Segment and tailor lists for optimal engagement, leveraging proficiency with digital platform communications.
- Respond with care: Address member inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Create compelling content: Produce content that aligns with the organisation's mission and values for use across multiple platforms and publication types. Experience with graphic design and design tools is highly valued.
3. Member Data Currency and Reporting:
- Maintain vital connections: Keep member information up-to-date in the CRM system (HubSpot experience is an advantage), ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate actionable insights: Regularly audit and clean the database, and generate reports to support informed decision-making.
- Provide valuable insights: Produce regular reports on member engagement metrics and trends, and analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement.
4. Project Management:
- Support impactful projects: Assist in planning and executing projects that enhance member experience and other initiatives as needed. Take the lead with establishing FHA’s Tenant Voices Project.
- Contribute to team success: Provide administrative support to the team, participate in team meetings, and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Business, or a related field, or a Certificate IV in a related area, and/or relevant experience.
- Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot experience is an advantage but not essential).
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
