The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation (‘BCF’) is one of Sydney’s most trusted frontline charities and has been supporting the community for over 40 years. Our mission is to address homelessness and hardship by providing essential services including food, social welfare, healthcare, education and community programs.
For more than 20 years BCF has also delivered literacy programs in primary schools across NSW and the Northern Territory. Our program supports children who have fallen behind in reading to
rebuild confidence and strengthen their literacy skills.
Using the ‘All About Reading’program and other structured resources, our Literacy Instructors create
engaging, supportive learning environments that help students improve their reading, spelling and phonics skills and return to grade level.
We are currently seeking a Literacy Instructor to deliver BCF’s literacy program at a participating primary school in Willmot.
This role works with students in Years 2–6 in small groups of 3–6 students, allowing you to tailor teaching approaches to individual learning needs. Each instructor supports approximately 20–30 students per school.
This is a part time role working Monday to Thursday from 9.00am to 2.00pm within the school environment.
