Applications are invited for the ongoing 3 - 5 day per week role of Community Organiser in the Office of Elizabeth Watson-Brown MP. This role is based out of the Ryan Electorate Office in Taringa, QLD.
This role will work closely with the Community Manager to help organise the Ryan community around local and Federal issues. This will include but is not limited to: communicating with locals on key issues, recruiting volunteers to help with letterboxing or market stalls, drafting correspondence to key stakeholders, and relationship building with community leaders.
The successful candidate will also assist the team with managing the MP’s social media accounts, for example drafting written content or assisting with producing audio/visual content.
This position will be offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984, and employment conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023, which include;
A probationary period of three months will apply and may be subject to extension by a maximum of two months. All employees are expected to sign a confidentiality and code of conduct agreement before the commencement of their employment.
