Established in 2006, headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention services to 12 -25 year old’s. headspace provides tailored and holistic mental health support to young people through headspace centres, online and phone counselling, vocational and school services. Services are designed for and with young people, making sure they are relevant, effective, and user-friendly. With its head office in Melbourne, headspace has a presence in urban, regional, and rural centres nationally ensuring as many young people as possible can access support for their mental health and well-being.
A new vacancy has arisen for an experienced First Nations Non-Executive Board member to join the collaborative leaders of the Headspace Board, continuing the work and influence of headspace as a leader positively impacting mental health outcomes for young people Nationally.
Your role as a Director on the Board of headspace will be to set strategic direction, uphold organisational values and ensure embedded accountability and compliance to support legal, ethical, and financial obligations of the Board and organisation.
The successful candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced in leading a National not-for-profit organisation, ideally within the health promotion sector, in addition to strong financial capability and experience.
