- Seeking an Organic and Natural Wholefood Store Manager
- Based in Hobart
We're searching for an experienced and dynamic retail Store Manager to join and lead our wonderful Hobart store team!
This hands-on role will be responsible for leading a diverse and committed team of staff, and the general operation of the store. This includes overall management of all our Hobart store departments (working closely with our great team of department heads - bulk refill, grocery, fresh produce, deli, tills and office/marketing), customer service activities and the overseeing and operations of staffing.
The Store Manager role is required to work full-time hours (approximately 32-38 hours, 4-5 days per week), including some weekends. The position is casual for the first 6 months, with opportunity to become full-time after this.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- This is a very hands-on dynamic role working with staff, customers and suppliers to grow Eumarrah as a leader in sustainability and ethical business for the common good of the broader community.
- Closely working on the floor with department heads and staff in a friendly and productive manner to ensure each area runs smoothly and follows procedures to the highest standards.
- Point of sale and visual merchandising.
- Overseeing up-keep of store presentation and cleanliness.
- Administration duties - including store procedures, rostering and staff operations, overseeing stock purchasing/inventory, solving issues as they arise.
- Ensuring adherence to Eumarrah policies, safe work practices, and waste reduction.
- Foster forward thinking and innovation to further build and strengthen Eumarrah.
- The role also involves regular communication with the wider Eumarrah management team, which encompasses our Launceston store and wholesale warehouse.
ABOUT YOU:
- Previous retail management experience and demonstrated leadership.
- Exceptional customer service and community-building focus.
- The position requires you to be a strong team leader who can engage and motivate to ensure workflows are completed efficiently and effectively.
- A strong eye for detail, quality, accuracy and presentation is essential.
- Excellent time management, well organised and capable of handling competing priorities.
- A proactive optimistic attitude, with enthusiasm, passion and pride.
- Strong commitment to consistent systems, with the ability to make systematic decisions, problem solve and prioritise on the go.
- Physically fit and safety aware. The role will include some regular and repeated lifting.
- A passion and knowledge of wholefoods, organics and environmental awareness with a strong willingness to learn.
