Maple Youth Services specialises in the services and programs aimed at assisting children and young people live with stability and brighter futures. We deliver of Out of Home Care, Staffing Solutions and multiple youth work supports.

Maple Youth Services (MYS) is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our Advisory Board and provide strategic guidance to enhance our therapeutic residential care services for children and young people. We are looking for individuals with expertise in the following areas

  • Child Protection and Child-Safe Service Delivery: Deep understanding of child protection principles and best practices in creating safe and supportive environments for vulnerable children.
  • Cultural Safety, Community Development, and Interagency Partnerships: Ability to foster culturally sensitive practices, build strong community relationships, and develop effective interagency collaborations.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and contractual obligations, including MOUs.
  • Therapeutic Out-of-Home Care (OOHC): Expertise in therapeutic models of care, particularly within a residential OOHC setting.
  • Governance, Risk, and Quality Improvement: Proven ability to advise on governance structures, risk management strategies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Business Management and Development: Experience in contracting, tendering, infrastructure development, and overall business growth strategies.
  • Human Resources Management and Development: Expertise in employee relations, talent development, and creating a positive and supportive work environment.

  • Analytical Skills: Capacity to assess complex issues, identify risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Relevant Legislation and Regulations: Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to youth services, child protection, and governance.
  • Experience in the with new growing businesses Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of operating a mission based organisation.
  • Commitment to MYS's Mission and Values: A genuine passion for supporting children and young people and a commitment to MYS's mission and values.

As an Advisory Board Member, you will:

  • Provide expert consultation and advice to MYS leadership.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Offer frank and fearless feedback to enhance service delivery.
  • Promote MYS's mission and values within your professional network.

Commitment

  • Attend quarterly Advisory Board meetings initially.
  • Actively participate in discussions and contribute your expertise.
  • Assist MYS management as issues arise

Renumeration

  • Advisory board members will receive a fee for each meeting attended. This compensation recognises the expertise and time contributions of our advisory board members. Please contact below for details.
