About You

With a breadth of experience across mental health, forensics or AOD, you will have a passion for seeing people achieve their potential. This will be complemented by a drive and determination to lead teams and develop structures that balance risk with the achievement of incredible outcomes. While the challenges are significant, the reward is great as you seek to provide the voice and choice to thrive for those who have complex care needs due to their mental illness and/or cognitive disability.

Proven leadership experience across multiple programs of work combined with exposure to a growth environment will be matched by the following attributes:

  • Knowledge and expertise across mental health and disability with particular focus on areas such as forensic, AOD, autism and psycho-social
  • A proven operational leader with an approach of servant or transformational leadership
  • The ability to balance and manage risk with the achievement of strategic and operational outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and inspire teams
  • Diplomacy, influence and relationship-focus in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Disability, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant qualification

This position requires acquiring and maintaining an NDIS Worker Screening clearance, a positive Working With Children’s Check and possess a current & valid driver’s licence.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager, Mental Health, Forensic and Community Services, you will be responsible for the development & delivery of various NDIS and non-NDIS block funded program areas. This includes oversight of people we support who have the most complex care needs and other non-NDIS programs, including TAC and Pathways. To achieve this, the role entails:

  • Team leadership, ensuring staff maintain a focus on client directed needs to achieve client-directed outcomes & service delivery objectives
  • Ensure appropriate plans are in place to meet organisation and funding-body requirements
  • Providing leadership that ensures the vision, mission and values are embedded into practice
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all internal & external requirements, including reporting and accreditation requirements
  • Local leadership in the areas of employee health, safety & wellbeing, office leadership and stakeholder engagement
