The Senior Driving Program Officer is responsible for coordinating the driving program in the South and North Metropolitan area. This role will support driving Instructors to teach newly arrived refugee and migrants to acquire driving knowledge to successfully gain their WA Drivers Licence. Please note this role is 3.5 days a week with salary packaging.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving Education Program
- Promoting the Driver Education Program to eligible clients.
- Data entry in CDS for North clients
- Case management for client as required.
- Recruitment and assessment of clients to check eligibility.
- Being the contact person for referrals
- Sourcing Driving Instructors who are eligible to deliver the driving program south of the river.
- Enrolling clients into the program and linking them to the appropriate driving instructor.
- Monitoring client progress and meeting with driving instructors on a regular basis.
- Respond to issues and concerns, supporting clients to achieve their goals through providing practical
- support, mentoring and advocacy as required.
- Liaise with key stakeholders and referral agencies and attend network meetings, maintaining
- relationships and the reputation of ERCWA.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Facilitate data collection through administering surveys and collecting relevant data.
- Input data into online systems, both external and internal.
- Keep appropriate record keeping.
- Prepare monthly reports.
Essential
- Proficient in using a range of Microsoft Office packages and client/volunteer databases Skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to exercise good judgement and solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Sound time management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to network and bring together stakeholders and interested parties for effective program delivery.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in building relationship and trust with people of migrant and refugee backgrounds.
- Experience in collecting data and reporting
- Proficiency in an emerging community language (Desirable)
Qualifications/Requirements
- Diploma in Community Services or similar Current WA Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance.
- Working with Children Check.
- Australian Working Rights.
