Our vision is that people with epilepsy have equitable access to education and employment, feel safe and connected in their community and no longer die from their epilepsy. Our mission is to reduce the impact of epilepsy on people’s lives.

Based in Surrey Hills (VIC).

THE ROLE

  • You will be part of a dynamic team that provides professional, caring and empathetic support (mostly telephone-based) to people with epilepsy and their families and carers.
  • You will support people living with epilepsy and their families to understand their diagnosis, improve their safety and independence and support them to feel empowered in managing their epilepsy.
  • You will use your skills to facilitate peer support sessions (online & in person) and other client events.
  • Full time (1.0 EFT) position

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience working in health or disability sectors
  • Experienced in the provision of emotional and practical support
  • Commitment to work with compassion, with a focus on person-centred and strengths based approaches
  • Passionate about promoting the wellbeing of those with a diagnosis of epilepsy along with their carers and family members
