What you'll be doing
To deliver clinical services for NSLHD Oral Health to the eligible population by performing the full range of highly advanced clinical services applicable to an Oral Health Therapist.
The position holder will require high levels of knowledge, experience and clinical expertise across the scope of practice of oral health therapy in a complex clinical setting and where they will exercise substantial independent professional judgement. They will provide clinical supervision and support to level 1 and 2 oral health therapists and be able to apply professional knowledge when performing novel, complex or critical tasks specific to their discipline.
This position is responsible for educational support to clinicians in the management of patients.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Full registration the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as and Oral health Therapist and a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy.
- Demonstrated high level of knowledge and understanding of clinical practices across all areas of the scope of practice for Oral Health Therapists.
- Proven ability to exercise independent professional judgement when required to solve problems and manage complex cases.
- Demonstrated ability in providing clinical guidance, mentoring, supervision, professional judgement and policy advice.
- Ability to work in collaborative and referral relationships with dental and other health practitioners.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and participation in ongoing quality improvement activities.
- Current valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel and work across Northern Sydney Local Health District dental clinics.
