Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) is a not-for-profit membership association supporting over 1350 early childhood education and care services to deliver our vision of excellence and equity in early childhood education and care. We advocate, lead, and influence all levels of Government for policy, funding, and regulatory arrangements that deliver quality and sustainable outcomes for our members and the early childhood education and care sector.

Position Summary:

As the Best Start, Best Life Reform and Engagement Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting Victorian community-based services to deliver efficient, high-quality kindergarten programs for three and four-year-old children in alignment with the reform's roll-out schedules. You will also be responsible for promoting the benefits of these reforms.

Key Objectives:

  • Collaborate with various sector stakeholders, including engagement with the Department of Education and service providers.
  • Provide guidance and support to Victorian early childhood education and care services.
  • Support change management and communications related to the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
  • Be accountable for achieving the identified outcomes of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement training opportunities and resources to support the implementation of 3-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep programs.
  • Provide advisory and case management support to community-based early childhood education and care services.
  • Develop and implement tools to assist members in planning for the attraction and retention of a high-quality workforce.
  • Lead and manage stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide tailored, professional care and advice to operators of early childhood education and care services to ensure they align with ELAA's vision of excellence and equity in early childhood education and care.
