Position Objectives:

Utilise data analysis techniques to extract insights crucial for engineering projects and decision-making.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement data-driven strategies and solutions.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement in data analysis best practices and technologies.

Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Work as a power systems technologist for an Aboriginal-owned technical advisory firm in regional NT, ensuring efficient and reliable energy supply in remote communities.
  • Support cost-benefit analyses, conduct research, collate data, design systems, and generate comprehensive reports for energy projects.
  • Develop custom engineering solutions and techno-financial models to optimise power systems' performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, monitoring, and maintenance of remote sensing hardware.
  • Enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness through engineering technology solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, project activity planning, and business development efforts.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends in engineering technology and collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology, preferably in mechanical, production or materials engineering

Additional skills requirement:

  • Proficiency in engineering and data analysis tools like Excel, Python, R, SQL, etc.
  • Deep understanding of statistical methods and data visualisation techniques for engineering applications.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills for seamless collaboration within teams.
