Emma House Domestic Violence Services is a courageous feminist, client-lead organisation that aims to reduce the impact of domestic and family violence on individuals, women and children and our community.

The Senior Solicitor will bring expertise in family violence jurisdiction and family law, and work closely with the Principal Solicitor to integrate the legal program into all ares of EHDVSI, to improve access to justice for women and children experiencing family violence.

The Senior Solicitor will lead complex legal matters and participate in systemic change activities as instructed by the Principal Solicitor, such as advocacy, policy development and community legal education.

About You

You are an experienced lawyer with a passion for safety of women & children and providing legal assistance to clients in disadvantaged communities.

Flexible work arrangements will be considered, and some relocation assistance is available.

You are able to:

  • Deliver high quality, accurate legal advice and manage complex casework
  • Develop strong relationships with other supporting organisations/services
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds

You will be joining an established and cohesive team that has a strong culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Full time and/or Part time (0.8 FTE) ongoing position (subject to funding).
