We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join Engadine Community Services (ECS). The role is a key leadership position that is aligned to the ECS vision.

Reporting to the Management Committee, this position will be responsible for the daily management of ECS’ programs within the scope of various Government Funding guidelines and with the ability to shape our organisation to meet the challenges of government reforms in the coming months.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who can excel in an evolving environment and who can bring staff along on the journey. Knowledge and experience in Commonwealth Home Support & Targeted Early Intervention programmes form a key part of this position. Submissions, implementation and development of strategic plans, building key external relationships, increasing partnerships, sourcing alternative funding streams and financial management also play a vital role.

About us

ECS has been committed to the provision of service and care to Seniors, 50+ group and preschool aged children and their families, in the local area for more than 50 years. We do this through various social activities and programs organised by the Manager, the Coordinators, team members and volunteers.

About you

The successful applicant will have proven management experience in a community services organisation, including the ability to consult with different government bodies, understand fiscal management and proven ability to manage staff, maintaining a positive culture and working environment.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Qualification in the area of Welfare or Social work
  • Management qualifications or collaborative and consultative leadership skills
  • Current Criminal Check and Working With Children Check
  • Experience in the community sector in Commonwealth Home Support and TEI
  • Experience in Aged care
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written
  • Sound computer skills
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Good knowledge of WHS requirements
  • Up to date COVID Vaccinations

Desirable

  • Current Driver’s Licence and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Early Childhood experience
