The Opportunity

As the Community Recovery Support Officer, your role will be to support community recovery committees with administrative needs. You will report to the Sarsfield Community Association committee and have the connection and support of Council staff.

You will draw on your experience and organisational skills to schedule meetings and manage meeting logistics, coordinate and distribute agendas, conduct minute taking, manage correspondence, assist with reimbursements and payments and other various duties outlined by the committee executive for example, helping organise community events.

This is a funded 2 year, part time role working 22.8 hours (0.6 FTE) based in Sarsfield.

Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)

  • Extensive administration experience and/or relevant qualification. Bookkeeping or financial experience desirable.
  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to write reports, correspondence, articles etc. and to liaise with stakeholders respectfully to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in using Microsoft Office, Google drive, database management and communication applications and website management platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload to deliver actions required to support the goals of the Sarsfield Community Association.
  • A current, valid Victorian Driver’s licence

If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
