Turning Point is a national treatment, research and education centre that provides leadership in the alcohol and drug, gambling and mental health sectors in Victoria and beyond. Turning Point is part of Eastern Health, the largest public health provider in the eastern suburbs, providing a comprehensive range of high quality acute, sub-acute, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care and community health services.
A key role of a Non-residential withdrawal nurse will be to support people to safely achieve neuro-adaptation reversal or stabilisation through an abrupt cessation or gradual reducing regime. The role will conduct AOD Comprehensive assessments for walk-in clients as well as managing external referrals for clients seeking admission into Turning Point Addiction Medicine Unit. The role will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing care to AOD clients.
