We are a large Public Dental agency with 18 dental chairs in Ringwood and Ferntree Gully, a mobile van and outreach programs including Smile Squad. Smile Squad school dental program aims to transform dental care for every student attending a Victorian public school. It won’t matter if a student is visiting an examination van in rural Victoria or a treatment van in central Melbourne – they will have a similar experience, wherever they are.
Our vision for Smile Squad is the delivery of consistent, accessible, high-quality dental care, every time. Students are quickly becoming familiar with our bright orange fleet, smart uniforms, our approachable staff and the great customer care they provide.
You will be responsible for providing professional communication and customer service to the clients within their scope of practice of the dental assistant role. Compliance with infection control principles, maintaining the clinical environment appropriately and sterilisation of instruments is a necessary part of the role.
The maintenance of dental instruments to industry standards along with the people aspect of building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
If you're a Dental Assistant, qualified with a Cert III in Dental Assisting in Australia with experience in recent practice, enjoy variety in your day, and working closely with other service delivery professionals, you might be exactly the person we're looking for!
Cert IV in Dental Assisting - OHE or Cert IV in Radiology would be highly advantageous.
As part of our new Oral Health Smile Squad team in the Maroondah area, EACH is looking for several Dental Assistants for part-time or full-time positions to provide efficient clinical chair-side assistance to the dental operators in all facets of the delivery of safe, high quality, efficient and effective public dental services.
This position involves working in the mobile dental units of the Victorian government’s Smile Squad program that provides services to local primary and secondary schools, as well as providing services in our clinics during school holidays. The mobile units and our clinics have the latest modern equipment and are fully equipped with the IT and dental equipment needed to provide a full range of services.
In total there are approximately 60 staff members that work across the sites in the provision of high quality, safe clinical services. A diverse team consisting of dentists, prosthetists, oral health therapists, dental therapists, senior dental assistants, oral health educators, dental assistants, and trainee dental assistants, and EACH also supports dental student placements during the year from Melbourne University.
