We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Quality & Training Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will research, design and delivery high-quality training; undertake quality reviews; and collaboratively contribute expertise to build capacity and support the continuous improvement and growth of our practitioners and service delivery.

  • Full-time 6-month contract
  • Central Office Brisbane Location

Your Position

Quality & Training Specialists are responsible for the development and maintenance of appropriate clinical practice and service delivery through training, audit and other related quality functions. This role entails researching, designing, and delivering contemporary training of best-practice programs that are both engaging and trauma-informed for a variety of audiences. The role contributes expertise for building capacity to inform and support onboarding, continuous improvement and growth for practitioners and service delivery across DVConnect’ s services. The role will also design, develop and deliver Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV)-focused training for external organisations, businesses, and stakeholders, via eLearning modules and in-person or virtual workshops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a variety of training including induction, compliance and refresher training.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, policies, and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of service delivery and provide feedback.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality improvement plans.
  • Provide advice and guidance on quality and training matters to the organisation's leadership team.

Role Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification(s) in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology and/or another relevant field.
  • Experience within the Domestic and Family Violence sector and/or other relevant sectors.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs for staff and volunteers.
  • Understanding of quality principles and continuous improvement.
  • High level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify and analyse issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence.
