The Role
This Officer role is responsible for the day to day operation - planning, implementation and reporting - of Down Syndrome NSW’s fundraising, campaigns and partnership activities, under the direction of the Fundraising Campaigns and Partnership Manager.
This role is a new role within Down Syndrome NSW, which is reflective of our investment in our wonderful team, and growth trajectory. Central to this role is exceptional relationship management to nurture enriching relationships that will support Down Syndrome NSW to increase and diversify sustainable income, as well as support our high calibre volunteers and ambassadors.

Role Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of the Down Syndrome NSW Fundraising and Revenue Strategy
- Provide exceptional donor care that is personalised where possible
- Support the acquisition, engagement, and conversion of donors, cultivating relationships to drive engagement and support for Down Syndrome NSW. This includes but is not limited to workplace giving, regular giving, high worth individuals and one-off donors.
- Management of the Down Syndrome NSW Workplace Giving Program
- Support the Fundraising, Campaigns and Partnership Manager to manage relationships with major donors and key partnerships
- Support the delivery of multi-channel acquisition campaigns, reviewing data lists, sending packs, follow up calls and emails.
- Organise and deliver targeted community campaign events, ensuring effective risk management procedures are in place, and collaborating with community organisers to improve event success
- Cultivating relationships with event partners to foster strong future event supplier relationships
- Data base management
- Administration involved with fundraising activities, partnerships and activations
- Event coordination experience
Essential Criteria
We are looking for a vibrant and proactive person with a ‘can do’ attitude and strong business acumen. The person who would thrive in this role is someone who can build exceptional, discrete and positive relationships with a broad range of people, including community members, donors, workplace contacts, CEOs and celebrities. We are searching for a highly skilled, motivated, and energetic superstar with a proven track record of achieving amazing results.

- Commitment to the principles of participation and inclusion of people with disability.
- 3+ years developing multi-channel acquisition campaigns
- Demonstrated experience in and passion for planning, executing and evaluating high quality donor care
- Experience developing corporate and community partnerships
- Exceptional relationship management expertise across a wide range of audience
- Management and delivery of campaign events experience
- Exceptional time management, attention to detail extraordinaire, administration skills, ability to work fast and be a self-starter.
- Ability to plan, set and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines as well as demonstrate flexibility and agility for changing priorities.
- A current driver’s license and comprehensively insured car.
- WWCC Clearance (please note you can apply for this once your contract with Down Syndrome NSW is signed).
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (please note you can apply for this once your contract with Down Syndrome NSW is signed).
Desirable Criteria
- Experienced in Microsoft Dynamix CRM and Humanitix / EventBrite.
- Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, human services or related discipline.
- Experience working with people with disability, families and carers.
- A current driver’s license and comprehensively insured car.
- Current First Aid Certificate
