About the Campaign and the Foundation:

The Dry July campaign is about more than just giving up alcohol, participants raise life-changing funds for people affected by cancer. Dry July Foundation (Foundation) is the registered charity behind the Dry July campaign and since the first campaign in 2008, has raised over $90 million to help improve the comfort, care, and well-being of people affected by cancer across Australia.

Dry July is recognised as a leader in peer-to-peer (P2P) digital fundraising and has continued to leverage its brand and digital innovation to deliver a low-cost fundraising campaign, that engages tens of thousands of participants and donors each year.

The Foundation distributes funding to beneficiaries across Australia including some of Australia’s top cancer organisations.

The Role:

This is a diverse part-time role where you will take over the stewardship of an existing portfolio of strong relationships and support cancer organisations to participate in the Dry July campaign as well as reviewing applications and the distribution of funds for the Dry July Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of existing relationships with the Foundation’s Major Beneficiaries (with the CEO), and Campaign Beneficiaries and support their participation in the Dry July campaign.
  • Manage Dry July Foundation Beneficiary and Grant Programs including determining beneficiary and project eligibility, funding allocation recommendations, fund disbursement, project acquittal, and program reporting.
  • Ensure the ongoing development and improvement of the Beneficiary and Grant Programs through involvement in strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent Dry July Foundation at beneficiary functions and industry events, including public speaking where required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong verbal, written communications and a true passion for relationship management is essential
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite expected
  • Strong time management without losing attention to detail
  • Be a critical thinker, with a can-do attitude and solutions focused mindset
  • Be empathetic, patient and understanding
  • Previous account management experience, or P2P, or community fundraising experience will be highly regarded
