Are you an experienced psychologist or Social Worker looking for a chance to supervise and influence the next generation of counsellors within a community-based agency? If so, then this might be the role for you.

Reporting to the CEO your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Providing individual and group supervision to a thriving team of volunteer counsellors and students on placement.
  • Facilitating regular supervisor’s peer supervision meetings.
  • Undertake recruitment for the counselling program.
  • Assist with referrals, assessments and support of client work as necessary and support the intake team.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive clinical experience and demonstrated ability in working with a broad range of clients and a broad range of issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in group and individual clinical supervision coupled with the ability to motivate and mentor staff and build an effective team with a culture of high performance.
  • Demonstrated high level risk management and safety planning knowledge and skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the drivers of family violence and of best practice in supporting victim survivors of family violence.
  • A capacity to articulate frameworks and to develop appropriate interventions.

This role is classified at SCHADS Level 7 ($58.23 per hour). We are looking for 0.4 FTE (15.2 hours per week) for a 6 month appointment.
