Period of Appointment: Permanent, Full-time

Hours per fortnight: 76 hours per fortnight

Duties: Coordinate the delivery of services to the client group, including the financial, human and physical resources of Community Youth Justice staff employed to perform all functions of the statutory role and meet service delivery requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
  • The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
    • Conviction checks in the following areas:
      • crimes of violence
      • sex related offences
      • serious drug offences
      • crimes involving dishonesty
      • serious traffic offences
    • Identification check
    • Disciplinary actions in previous employment check.

Desirable Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
