MACS and Diversitat have been serving the Geelong community for more than 40 years with a focus on our multicultural communities. As the new entity, Cultura operates across various sites delivering a range of services including residential aged care, home care and aged support services, settlement, training and education, financial counselling and disability support. We also operate a range of social enterprises including The Pulse community radio and various community events including the popular Pako Festa.

The Role:

Cultura is looking for a Manager for Centre-based and Advisory Services to provide operational leadership across our government funded centre-based social support, respite and advisory programs within the Community Aged and Disability Department. You will ensure all activities are delivered within a consumer directed care framework and consistent with the CHSP program manual and as outlined in the Cultura Strategic Plan.

This includes providing strategic and operational thought leadership, be a subject matter expert and inform and guide the policy, frameworks and operational decisions within the Centre-based and Advisory Services area.

About You:

• Leadership experience within the same or a similar field;
• Highly developed skills with regard to practice supervision and managing teams in a service environment;
• Operational foresight to support the General Manager – Community Aged and Disability, to proactively plan for future service delivery needs in a rapidly changing environment;
• Demonstrated skills in operational management and innovation leading to improvement in outcomes for individuals, families and local communities;
• Engagement, influence, facilitation and communication skills;
• Emotional intelligence, personal resilience and empathy;
• Sound financial, operational and information technology skills;
• Solid understanding of the community aged care sector, with empathy and sensitivity to the needs of older people including those from different cultural backgrounds and their families;

• Contemporary knowledge, expertise and experience in the delivery of centre based aged care services;
• Demonstrated leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement capabilities;
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with executive management, program staff and in partnership with other community organisations and funding bodies;
• Ability to manage performance by setting clear goals and expectations and being accountable for outcomes and behaviour;
• Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field i.e. Nursing, Allied Health, or Community Services and experience in leading a team delivering centre-based group support services.

Employment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Police Record Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Victorian Employee Working with Children’s Check, Work Rights Check, Medical Check and providing evidence of sufficient COVID 19 vaccinations. Cultura will pay for the costs associated with Police Record Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Victorian Employee Working with Children’s Check and Medical Check.
