Diversicare is a not for profit organisation, delivering community care programs to frail aged, young people with disabilities and carers. Diversicare also delivers education, training and information sessions state-wide to communities, individuals and service providers.

Diversicare assists consumers to remain independent in their own homes and active within their communities by delivering a flexible range of in-home services tailored to their lifestyle.

We are looking for a passionate individual committed to providing the best care possible to join our team. As a casual Home Care Worker, you will provide domestic cleaning, meal preparation, social support, shopping and personal care services, in home respite and sometimes centre based respite to Diversicare clients.

To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

• Hold a Certificate III in Aged or Community Care, or similar qualification. It will be looked upon favourably if as part of your certificate you have completed the modules ‘Assist Clients with Medication’ and ‘Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context’.
• Must live in the Redbank Plains, Goodna, Ipswich and Springfield areas and surrounding suburbs
• You must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm (not for Domestic HCW's) Monday to Friday plus some weekend work, to work a variety of shifts.
• Hold a current satisfactory National Police check or be willing to undergo a police check
• Hold a current Open Australian drivers licence with nil restrictions
• Hold a current First Aid certificate
• Have access to a roadworthy registered vehicle that is comprehensively insured for work purposes

This position involves high levels of repetitive, manual work and would best suit applicants who are physically fit and are in good health. Applicants may be required to complete a Pre-employment Medical Questionnaire and/or undergo a functional capacity evaluation to determine fitness for employment.
