Directions’ multidisciplinary service delivery team currently includes a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Social Workers, Counsellors, Aboriginal Health Workers, Case Managers, Peer Support Workers, GPs, Registered Nurses, Pharmacists and Chemical Analysts. ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clinical Team Leader is a key position within Directions’ clinical and leadership workforce, offering an exciting mixture of clinical leadership, management and influence, alongside direct clinical work.

This is a full-time position, working collaboratively within the Treatment & Support Services (TSS) team, based in Woden, ACT. This position will provide clinical leadership and oversight to the TSS Team’s centre-based and outreach activities with consideration of safety, quality and risk management; and deliver high quality AOD services to clients and family members impacted by drug and alcohol use.

FURTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support to the TSS Team
  • Development and oversight of community-based individual and group therapeutic services for clients and their families impacted by alcohol, tobacco and other drug use
  • Work with the Organisational Team Leader to ensure that the Team has adequate support across all service components and operating hours
  • Monitor Team and program performance through accurate data collection
  • Joint oversight of the Alongside program within the TSS team.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality person-centred services that meet expected standards through continuous quality improvement, safety and risk management processes including promoting a continuous quality improvement and safety framework

After hours work and travel to other sites in ACT may be required.

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • Tertiary qualification in Counselling/Social Work/Psychology/Nursing/other relevant field
  • Cert IV or AOD Skill Set in Alcohol and Other Drug Work or willingness to obtain
  • Leadership or management experience, qualification, or willingness to obtain
  • Significant experience working in the Alcohol and Other Drug field
  • A current Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Employment is subject to a satisfactory AFP National Police Check and Working With Vulnerable People Registration
  • Australian Citizenship or suitable rights to work in Australia
  • Current Driver’s Licence is desirable

All appointments will be conditional upon having a Working with Vulnerable People Check, current First Aid and CPR certification and a satisfactory National Police Check.
