POSITION SUMMARY:

The North Division Child Protection Branch prides itself on its commitment to making children safe, supporting stronger families, and protecting future generations. The dynamic and professional practitioners located within our Preston office service a diverse client base.

The Advanced Child Protection Practitioner (CPP4) receives and assesses reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people. They undertake investigations and develop plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people and to promote the achievement of case plan objectives within specified timeframes. This may include taking matters to court.

The case contracting team has responsibility and oversight for children and young people subject to final statutory orders who are case managed by funded Community Service Organisations. The role requires strong skills in stakeholder and relationship management.
