Within this Mental Health Hub, they aim to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and assertive outreach support to clients presenting with moderate to severe mental health needs.

As part of the multidisciplinary care team, you will play a crucial role in extending the comprehensive model of care and integrating with the region’s health teams to ensure clients receive appropriate and responsive care, presenting the need to inpatient care whenever possible.

In the Ipswich office, as a Mental Health Clinician, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to support clients with moderate to severe mental health needs who are at risk of entering the acute care system or who are stepping down from inpatient care. They focus on ensuring the clients are well supported in the community through holistic and wrap around primary health and mental health care.  In addition to this, you will support the GP with primary health care nursing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting culturally appropriate comprehensive assessments.
  • Providing treatment and offering intensive case management.
  • Assertive outreach activities to meet the emerging mental health needs to clients.
  • Use your advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in comprehensive mental health assessment and clinical decision making.
  • Primary health care.

Mandatory qualifications and experience:

  • Qualified Mental Health Registered Nurse with AHPRA Registration
  • Willing to undertake a Criminal History Check
  • Current C Class Drivers License
  • Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role

In return you will receive:

  • A competitive salary of between $95,000 - $105,000k + superannuation
  • Salary sacrifice of up to $15,900
