The Girls Refuge is a safe, home-like environment for teenage girls who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or going through a difficult time and whose families need some extra support. We also provide support in the community for girls and young women living independently or with their families.
The full-time Case Manager role will focus on improving the quality of life for young people accessing services at The Girls Refuge (TGR) by providing quality case management to increases opportunities for clients’ education, employment, wellbeing and housing.
The Case Manager will resolve crisis, promote empowerment, encourage healthy choices, promote reconnection with family, and develop relationships with organisations to improve client access to services.
To better help our clients and their access to case management this role’s hours of work will operate between 8:30am-5:30pm Monday – Friday.
TGR supports young people from various backgrounds so candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from CALD backgrounds.
This position description is subject to change in line with duties and strategic objectives and is dependent on continued funding from the Department of Communities and Justice.
