Disability and Specialised Services is dedicated to delivering high-quality, rights-based services to over 1,000 South Australians. We specialise in providing NDIS, Aged Care, and State-based community and residential services. The Principal Advisor is a senior advisory role providing high-level strategic, policy, and operational support across a broad and complex portfolio.
This role is responsible for leading the Executive Support Office and ensuring the Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and senior leadership team are equipped with timely, accurate, and strategic advice to drive key priorities.
You will play a critical role in coordinating executive functions, managing sensitive and high-impact matters, and delivering comprehensive policy advice, ministerial correspondence, and briefing materials.
The position requires exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strong focus on cross-sector collaboration, governance, and strategic project leadership.
Through your expertise, you will contribute to shaping services and reforms that support improved outcomes for people with disability and those accessing specialised services.

If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check, which has been issued within six months of your application for the role.
