Chairperson - Sustainability Victoria

The Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change is seeking expressions of interest for appointment as the Chairperson of Sustainability Victoria. The appointment will be for a term of not more than five years, as determined by the Minister.

Sustainability Victoria is established under the Sustainability Victoria Act 2005 to facilitate and promote environmental sustainability in the use of resources. The Chairperson leads the Board in providing strategic direction to, and ensuring the good governance of, Sustainability Victoria.

Candidates must demonstrate skills, experience or knowledge in at least one and preferably more of the following:

  • waste management within local government
  • the environment
  • industry
  • marketing
  • change management
  • business management
  • education
  • behavioural change
  • energy and resources
  • regional and rural affairs 

Expertise in public sector governance and ethical leadership is highly desirable.
