Speech Language Pathologist - Brisbane - North Side - Full-time / Part-time

Hear for Kids is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Brisbane team. This exciting role would suit an experienced SLP wanting to work with deaf and hard of hearing infants, children and adults in the community and not-for-profit sector.

Hear for Kids provides speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology and teacher of the deaf services to deaf and hard of hearing infants, children and adults and their families across a number of programs, including NDIS. Services are provided both during the day and after school both onsite at our clinics and in community locations.

The role is full-time or four days a week and would suit an SLP with at least four years’ experience.

The successful applicant will have the ability to handle a busy caseload and work independently and also cooperatively within a flexible structure. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for screening, assessing and treating clients based on their individual needs/goals, writing reports and home programs, and providing family inclusive support.

The ideal candidate must have tertiary qualifications in speech language pathology, a minimum of four years’ experience preferably with paediatrics and disability, and knowledge of typical and atypical development. Experience in Auslan is highly regarded. The applicant must have current registration with Speech Pathology Australia, a current Queensland driver’s licence and your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed) and be eligible for a Queensland Blue Card.
