About The Role

Are you looking for a role with purpose in a growing community organisation that focuses on making a difference? Are you seeking an administration role in education working within a supportive and collaborative team? If so, this may be the perfect role for you! 

In your vital role as a core member of the Education team, you will take a proactive approach in carrying out a variety of administrative tasks. The main objective of these tasks is to make certain that our registered training organisation provides an overwhelmingly positive and enriching experience for all learners.

Under the guidance and direction of the Team Leader for Student Services, your role will be primarily focused on improving and enhancing the student services that we offer. This will be accomplished through a dual approach. Firstly, by ensuring that we have high resolution rates for issues and inquiries at the first point of contact. This means that students’ issues are resolved promptly, reducing delays and increasing satisfaction. Secondly, by implementing and maintaining effective student engagement strategies. These strategies will seek to involve students more deeply in their educational experience, fostering a sense of community and mutual support among learners.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing the student enrolment process and maintaining student data
  • Supporting the Team Leader, Student Services with maintenance of, and student enrolment into, the Learning Management System, Moodle & GoReact
  • Liaising with students in matters relating to enquiries, enrolments, fee payment, engagement and day-to-day management
  • Setting up aXcelerate classes for the courses to allow integration with the website for online enrolments
  • Responding to emails in the shared RTO email inbox in a timely manner.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work tasks and preparedness to implement changes as the need and opportunity arise
  • Skills with Microsoft Applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook,Teams)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team environment
  • Sound organisational, time management skills and high attention to detail
  • Auslan skills (or willingness to learn)

You should also let us know if you have these other great skills:

  • Experience and knowledge using a student management system i.e. aXcelerate
  • Experience and knowledge using a Learning Management System i.e. Moodle
  • Knowledge of Workflow processes
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems, file structures, file formats, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of the Deaf community, language and culture
